MES Exercise Stena Scandinavica

The FIRST team had the opportunity to take part in the yearly MES Exercise on the Stena Scandinavica. Four 109 pax rafts are launched as one pacage with two schutes connected to the two innermost rafts. As usual the Close Range Rescue Craft that we brought was very handy for all the little handling shores that are needed, like picking up debris and untangling stuff. We also had the opportunity to tow one of the loaded rafts, which went quite well. It's still obvious how rafts of this size would be dificult to hanle and unload in a bad weather situation. And since they are not made for lifting, they would have to be unloaded one person at a time.
